Hey! SO I really slacked last year on my blog, and this year I hope to keep it up. I got back to PR on Aug. 2, and have already been having lots of fun. Supposedly this is my last year here, but we will see what happens. This year we only have one new American teacher, Rachel. My roommate, Mandi, from the first two years moved to Colombia. The Mudd's moved to the Ukraine. Barb went to Yemen. I am actually the only original one left. This year I do not have a roommate. It is weird without Mandi here because we always did everything together. I have the Berry's down the street now, so I love that!
We started school about one month ago today. I really like my new students. The kids are always really good here. Everything at school has been going smoothly. Although, it was hard to adjust to working again. I am also tutoring a brother and sister in their home everyday. The family is super nice and their kids are so sweet. I have long days, but it is worth it.
On the weekend we have been traveling to many places. Here are some pictures:
Guilligan's Island
Guanica, PR
SOme of us took a ten minute ferry ride here a couple of weekends ago. The water was so warm and clear. We snorkeled and hung out with some our Puerto Rican friends that met us there. It was a great day!

Rachel has an underwater camera. It is so fun to use.
This was in Luquillo, another one of my favorite beaches!

Waiting for the ferry boat.

I love palm trees!

Star fish that some of the other teachers got to see. I love the picture though.
This weekend was Labor Day. I spent most of that time in San Juan. Some of us stayed in Old San Juan one night. We stayed in a very cool boutique style hotel called Da'House. The rooms are supposed to be reminiscent of the upscale hostels in Europe. It was very cute and close to everything. We had a nice dinner at The Parrot Club and then went out to dance at Latin Roots. Next day we went to El Morro, the old fort in Old San Juan, then hit up the beach. My friend and I ended up staying in San Juan at the El San Juan Hotel and Casino Saturday night. The place is AMAZING! The pool, the restaurants, the rooms, the chandeliers, the club, the lobby, and the wordwork is beautiful. I had a great time staying there. We relaxed at the pool for a while, and later went to Club Brava in the hotel. We danced until 5 a.m. I had a blast! Great weekend!
